Read the Opening Crawl for Star Wars: The High Republic

While it will be a while before we get to see Star Wars on the big screen again, the franchise is leaning onto the launch of a new era called The High Republic. While THR is set to feature on books specifically, it does come with its own opening crawl, much like the films.

It reads:

"The galaxy is at peace, ruled by the glorious REPUBLIC and protected by the noble and wise JEDI KNIGHTS.

As a symbol of all that is good, the Republic is about to launch STARLIGHT BEACON into the far reaches of the Outer Rim. This new space station will serve as a ray of hope for all to see.

But just as a magnificent renaissance spreads throughout the Republic, so does a frightening new adversary. Now the guardians of peace and justice must face a threat to themselves, the galaxy, and the Force itself..."

Though it's not mentioned in the crawl, The High Republic era will actually feature new villains that aren't the Sith called the Nihil. Unlike Sith that are basically just evil Jedi, the Nihil are described as marauders who are closer to Vikings; probably closer to the bounty hunter factions in Star Wars. Then again, I have a feeling that the Sith will find a way to reveal themselves at some point.

While it's not The Old Republic, I have a feeling that this is the closest it's going to get to being part of the official canon. Though I'm sure there are some fans who are going to be bummed that TOR isn't part of the official canon, I think it's done purely so Disney could make some new content for the next generation of fans. After all, Star Wars is primarily for kids, despite how many adults hate that idea.
