The Child aka Baby Yoda's true origins still remain a mystery to a lot of Star Wars fanatics but there's no doubt that the upcoming second season of Disney+'s The Mandalorian could finally shed some light with regard to the creature's puzzling backstory. Speaking of, a new "leaked" image that has been making the rounds all over social media might have just spoiled a major plot point for Mando's adorable companion.
Funko POP News has released several new images of upcoming Funko Pop! vinyl figures Cara Dune, a Gorrean Monster, and the Mythrol on Twitter. But the biggest mystery following the release of the promotional merch photos revolves around Baby Yoda's figure which comes with an egg canister, something that was obviously not in the featured in the first season of TheMandalorian. Whether the "leak" was released by accident or was done intentionally to send fans into overdrive ahead of the series' eventual release, that one bit of information is something all of us can look forward to this coming Season 2. At this point though, it's best that we keep our expectations low because who knows, that egg canister might just be a mere accessory and nothing more. But hey, aside from the much-awaited return of Mando and The Child, The Mandalorian promises to be an even grander spectacle with the confirmation that beloved characters from the Star Wars Universe like Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, and the returning Bobba Fett will all be joining the fray. Season 1 is definitely just the tip of the iceberg and I'm totally looking forward to seeing what goes down this coming season!
