Adam Driver Talks About What It Felt Like Killing Han Solo

Kylo Ren might be seeking to clear his path towards the Dark Side in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but it seems like Adam Driver still can't get over the fact that Han Solo's (Harrison Ford) decided to kill his father in The Force Awakens.

Sitting down in an interview with GQ, Driver decided to open up about what he felt like after seeing Kylo Ren thrust a lightsaber through his father's chest during the premiere of the Star Wars sequel trilogy's very first installment.

"When I watched the premiere, I felt sick to my stomach... Immediately, I thought I was going to puke.I was holding my wife [Joanne Tucker]'s hand, and she's like, 'You're really cold. Are you OK?' Because I just knew what was coming – I kill Harrison Ford – and I didn't know how this audience of 2,000 people was going to respond to it, you know?"

It's no surprise that Driver reacted the way he did. A cool pop culture icon, Han Solo meant so much to so many Star Wars fans, and having the smuggler die at the hands of his own son tore away at their hearts.

Now, it seems like Kylo Ren's off to finish what Darth Vader's started, and everyone's wondering whether Snoke's apprentice will decide to kill his mother as well. Let's hope not.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
