Zelda Real Escape Game is Coming to 8 Cities

Escape rooms have been an interesting concept. It's fairly simple. You have a themed room—zombies, scary hospitals, dingy prison—and you have a few minutes to figure out how you'll escape from the locked room using the hidden clues all around.

Now, Shigeru Miyamoto and the team has collaborated with Scrap to create Defenders of the Triforce. It is a Zelda-themed escape room that features many of the items and characters in the franchise, Digital Trends reported.

Similar to other escape rooms, it will challenge six players to solve the mystery by using key clues scattered all around. The unique highlight is that they will have to take on the role of Link and do what he does in the videogame.

Completing the challenge will let players get some exclusive Zelda merchandise. There will also be commemorative photos on site.

The Defenders of the Triforce game will be dropping by eight cities in America at the start of next year. Only San Francisco (Jan. 31 to Feb. 5, 2017), Los Angeles (Feb. 10 to 12, 2017), and San Diego (Feb. 24 to 25, 2017) have sure dates. Seattle, Phoenix, Houston, Chicago, and New York dates are yet to be announced.

Scrap's project is a pretty great way to indulge in your fanboy and fangirl tendencies for Zelda. And you know it's going to be a great one since Scrap is also responsible for similar themed rooms for Attack on Titan, Evangelion, and Space Brothers.
