Zack Snyder Reportedly Believes His DCEU Vision Aligns with WB Discovery's 10-Year Plan

There's been a lot of talk within the comic book community about the future of the DC Extended Universe now that Warner Bros. Discovery has taken over. In case you didn't know, the franchise will be undergoing a major overhaul in terms of leadership under CEO David Zaslav's reign. According to reports, film producer Dan Lin is the frontrunner to succeed Walter Hamada who is set to step down from his role as DC Films President later this year.

Naturally, a lot of intrigue surrounds the DCEU and the reception from the fandom has been mixed thus far. While some are hopeful that Zaslav will actually restore order in the franchise, others are a bit skeptical following WB Discovery's recent cancelation of upcoming DC projects, most notably Leslie Grace's Batgirl film.

Over the last couple of weeks, there have been rumors swirling online that Zaslav is committed to turning the DCEU into the powerhouse it always had the potential to be. His first order of business is reportedly to reinstate director Zack Snyder with the idea of the SnyderVerse becoming the franchise's main continuity.

Now, according to Ben Evertz of Reel Anarchy, Snyder submitted his plans for Justice League 2 & 3 to the studio with the belief that it aligns with Zaslav's vision for the franchise moving forward. The rumor was supported by Syl Abdul who has been dishing out reliable DCEU scoops for quite some time now.

Of course, it's hard to get excited when nothing has officially been confirmed yet. But if the rumors surrounding this "New DC" are actually true, then it spells great things not only for the franchise but for the fandom as well who have long been demanding change.

Meanwhile, DC's Black Adam hits theaters on October 21, 2022.
