The Warner Bros. Discovery merger has already been making waves in Hollywood and judging by the latest rumors that have been circulating all over the internet, it looks like the DC Extended Universe will benefit heavily under CEO David Zaslav's leadership.

One of WB Discovery's biggest bombshells is said to be the return of Man of Steel actor Henry Cavill to the franchise, with several insider reports claiming that the British actor will be back full-time in the DCEU.

Syl Abdul has been dishing out a lot of DCEU rumors as of late and according to the oftentimes reliable tipster, Cavill has filmed scenes for his Superman return. Not only that but Warner Bros. Discovery's decision to delay films such as Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Shazam! Fury of the Gods was reportedly done to incorporate Kal-El into the stories.

In a follow-up report, the DCEU scooper claims that Cavill isn't going to settle for a small part in the DCEU and this time around, he is "100%" in on Warner Bros. Discovery's long-term plan for the franchise. These are exciting times for sure but of course, it's a little too early to rejoice since nothing has been officially confirmed.

There's no denying that the recent developments over at WB Discovery have garnered mixed reactions from the fandom, but if the reports about Zaslav being committed to turning the tide for the DCEU are true, I think the franchise is finally in good hands.

Cavill is heavily rumored to be making a cameo in Black Adam which hits theaters on October 21, 2022.
