The two biggest names in opposite franchises of MCU and DCU are currently scheduled for a special collaboration, namely, Zack Snyder and the Russo Brothers. While fans of the superhero genre never thought to see this day happen, they have definitely lived long enough to tell the tale of two directors meeting up for an episode.
This announcement isn’t exactly on par in collaborating for an MCU-DCU crossover project, per se, but rather, Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo will be sitting down for an interview with the former big DC director, Zack Snyder, as the Russo pair returns for their Season 2 of the video podcast series, Pizza Film School.
Pizza Film School is the Russo Brothers’ video podcast project where they host interviews with the industry’s top filmmakers as they talk about movies over a few slices of pizza.
As per Variety, Snyder will be one of the many guests the Russo Brothers plan on having on board for their Season 2 return. Other guests mentioned include Nia DaCosta (The Marvels), Justin Chon, R.J. Cutler, Justin Lin (Fast X), and Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman).

It remains to be seen on what topics the two legendary filmmakers plan on tackling in the episode, however, considering that both are well aware and handy on the industry’s culture, as well as the ‘secret’ in gaining success over the superhero genre amid the pandemic and the ever-growing superhero fatigue, it is safe to assume this episode would be worth expecting.
Not to mention, quite timely amidst Disney’s shake-up and the reconstructing of the DCU under new DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran. Are you excited to see this unexpected collab?
