Zack Snyder Celebrates Star Wars Day With Sith Batman

Star Wars fans celebrated May the Fourth yesterday, and it looks like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder decided to join in on the fun.

Posting on Twitter, DC Extended Universe director Zack Snyder decided to share a picture of Ben Affleck's Batman carrying around a dual lightsaber in the warehouse scene in Batman v Superman. It's a nice little nod to the galaxy far, far away on Star Wars day.

Of course, this isn't the first time that Snyder's made nods to Star Wars. The DCEU director worked on the principal photography of Dawn of Justice at the same time that J.J. Abrams began working on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. During that time, the filmmakers would take to social media to play around by mashing up Star Wars and DC.

You can check out Snyder's new Star Wars twitter post down here:

The lightsaber-wielding Batman isn't the only nod in the picture. There's also graffiti of the symbol of the Rebel Alliance hiding in the background of the photo.

Somehow, we can't help but love the idea of Batman joining the Star Wars franchise. We're a little bit unsure where the Dark Knight might stand though. Bruce Wayne's vigilantism might make him seem like he'd be attuned to Sith teachings, however, Batman's always been a hero, so maybe he ought to be part of the Jedi? Or he could be a Gray Jedi, a Force user in between the Jedi and the Sith?

What kind of Force User do you think the Dark Knight would be? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
