Zack Effron and Steven Yeun as Nightwing in New Fan Art

Last week Warner Bros. announced that DC fans would finally be getting a Nightwing film, and while production is still at its earliest stages as the studio waits to close the deal with The Lego Batman Movie’s Chris McKay, the director that they’re hoping could helm the DC Expanded Universe installment.  No stars have been announced for the part of Batman’s former Robin just yet, and fans have been busy betting on different Hollywood stars that could take the role.

Last week, graphic artist BossLogic decided tocreatea piece featuring his pick for one of the Batfamily’s most popular members, Vampire Diaries’ Steven R. McQueen. BossLogic is known for piecing together the imaginings of Hollywood stars as various film characters and last week he drew the star who was on top of his list as Nightwing. Now, BossLogic is back with another Nightwing piece, this time featuring buff Hollywood celebrity Zack Effron.

While Efron does pose as a good candidate for the role, other artists have also joined in on the fray, creating their own works of art featuring their star of choice and adding more possibilities in the Nightwing running.

Here’s Instagram Spider.monkey 23 and Aikoaiham’s rendition of Walking Dead’s Steve Yuen as Nightwing.

So far, McQueen, Efron and Yuen all seem like good candidates for the role however DC has not made any announcements as to stars that they’re testing out for the part. Though waiting can be a pain, there’s nothing to do but be patient. And fantasize, maybe.
