Zachary Quinto: Quentin Tarantino’s Star Trek is R-Rated

Quentino Tarantino may be working on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood right now, but everyone is still waiting for updates on his Star Trek movie. Tarantino is said to be using the cast of the reboot, and Zachary Quinto (Spock) gives us a small update on the movie.

Talking to USA Today, Quinto explained:

"We're waiting on specifics. I'm thrilled that we might have the opportunity to work with him and see what he would do with us in this universe. It's going to be an R-rated version of Star Trek, which would be the first (in) the movies, and that's exciting. I've been a fan of his for years, and I'm really inspired by his originality. Take that originality and mix it with this world full of incredible ideology and colorful characters, and the result could be pretty thrilling."

Tarantino is known to be an avid fan of Trek, and though his films don't really fall under the Trek genre, everyone is still curious on what kind of story he has to bring to the table.

For now, Tarantino is busy doing his period film, and it's possible that Trek 4 will be moving forward without him. Then again, I won't be surprised if they bring in Tarantino for the fifth installment. Hopefully he's free by then to take the helm himself.

Star Trek4 has not been officially announced.
