There's growing uncertainty over the future of DC Universe actors now that the franchise is in the midst of a major revamp. Last year, the fandom was shaken to its core when Henry Cavill announced that he's officially returning as Superman, only to get ousted once again just weeks after his cameo appearance in Black Adam.

Gal Gadot's status as Wonder Woman is also a huge mystery to a lot of people, with her supposed third solo outing as Diana Prince getting canned due to Patty Jenkins' reported irreconcilable differences with Warner Bros. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is also seemingly out of the equation as Black Adam is confirmed not to be part of the franchise's first phase.

As per the latest rumors, DC Studios is getting rid of almost every actor in the franchise, with the exception of Jason Momoa and the stars of The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker.

DC Studios co-head Peter Safran's wife Natalia, who also happens to be a producer for the DCU shared vacation photos on social media and it turns out, they were with Shazam! actor Zachary Levi during the trip. Naturally, it sparked speculation about the actor's future in the franchise but as it stands, Gunn and Safran have yet to make things official.

Despite the fact that fans have already been overly critical of DC Studios' creative decisions, Levi has defended both Gunn and Safran on social media, and even expressed his confidence that he's not going anywhere.

Hopefully, the actor's trip with Safran is an indication of their continued working relationship in the new DCU because honestly, it would be a bad decision not to keep Zachary on board because his portrayal of Shazam has been pretty enjoyable.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods
will hit cinemas on March 17, 2023.
