It's been some time since the release of the first Shazam! trailer at the San Diego Comic-Con and fans have been waiting patiently for a new teaser from the DC Extended Universe film. Luckily, Zachary Levi has provided an update by sharing a new poster. In addition to that, Levi has revealed when the next trailer will be released.
Levi shared the new poster on his official Instagram account. The actor also confirmed that another trailer will finally be dropped by the end of the year. Take a look at his post below.
"Heyooo! The new poster for @ShazamMovie is herrre! Aaannnd, there's a new trailer coming in the new year," Levi wrote before adding the hashtag #SHAZAMMovie and the film's release date. "Mark. Them. Calendars. Y'all," he added.
This is certainly good news for fans who have been hoping to see more of Levi's superhero. After all, there was some backlash over how the character's suit appeared to be padded. Hopefully, we'll see a sleeker costume soon.
The film was subject to several reshoots since the release of the first trailer. This led to speculations that Levi's character will be given a new suit or that the movie will be getting more pop culture references. Either way, people are excited to see the results.
The upcoming DCEU flick also stars Asher Angel as Levi's counterpart, Billy Batson, as well as IT: Chapter Two actor Jacob Dylan Grazer. Mark Strong has been confirmed to play the villainous Doctor Thaddeus Sivana.
Shazam! will hit theaters on April 5, 2019.
