Zachary Levi Felt Like a Toddler When He was Getting Dressed for Shazam!

Everyone was worried at first, but the DCEU managed to stick the landing again with Shazam!. A lot of people are loving Zachary Levi's Captain Marvel, and Levi talks a bit about the ins and outs of the film—particularly about how silly he felt sometimes when he was being fitted into his superhero suit.

Talking to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Levi said, "The suit is both incredibly dope and incredibly uncomfortable. I had a couple of costumers help me get in and out of it. I kind of felt like a 4-year-old…"

The bit starts at 4:21:

He also somewhat confirms that he had to wear a thong when he was asked to wear the suit—something that other superhero players like Tom Holland and Ryan Reynolds have had to deal with.

Just in case you didn't know, though Levi had to build his body up for the suit, they still had to use some artificial muscles to bring the entire look to life—particularly around the shoulder area. It's said that the reason they gave Shazam the massive shoulders is that they wanted to portray what a child would think a superhero looked like when they look at Levi—hence the giant muscles.

Like I said, Shazam! has managed to be another great addition to the DCEU franchise, and everyone is just waiting to see how it will fare with its theatrical run. While I don't think it should be too worried about Hellboy, I'm almost sure this film will be decimated come Avengers: Endgame. Well, at least it had a good few weeks.

Catch Shazam! in theaters now.
