Yumi's Cells is a cell-based psychological romance drama based on a hit webtoon about an ordinary office worker named Yumi. The series tells the perspective of the protagonist's brain cells that control her thoughts, feelings, and movements. For the first time in the history of Korean dramas, Yumi's Cells is produced using a new format that combines live-action and 3D animation, piquing interest from viewers all around the world.

Yumi's Cells Episode 6 sees Yumi celebrating her birthday with Goo Woong after a misunderstanding. Yumi invites Goo Woong upstairs to her apartment. And when it was a perfect time for the two to have a nice night, Goo Woong's intestine cells call for an emergency as he suddenly experiences a stomachache.
The bizarre situation caused Goo Woong and his other cells to panic. This would be his first time visiting Yumi's place and it is entirely embarrassing that he will release that "thing" on his girlfriend's house.
When Yumi wants Goo Woong to sing her a happy birthday, he was already having a hard time containing his business. He finally excused himself and went to the bathroom. After his business was done, he thought everything will be fine but the toilet got clogged.
Yumi offered help but Goo Woong wanted to clean after himself. After he was done in the restroom, he wanted to go back home but Yumi told him to stay and she treated his stomachache.
Yumi's Cells Episode 6 also highlights the two lovers' first trip together. The two planned their trip and Yumi volunteered to book the hotel when Goo Woong had an important meeting to attend.
Goo Woong advised Yumi to make sure she will be able to book a double bedroom with an ocean view. However, the available rooms with a double bed are the ones with a parking lot view and the other one has a glass bathroom. The latter is pressuring and burdensome but Yumi had no choice but to take it.
When the couple was on their way to the hotel, Yumi felt embarrassed when Goo Woong mentioned the bizarre room at the hotel with a glass bathroom. He even said that whoever wants to book that room is a pervert.
Hearing this from Goo Woong made Yumi try to book another room but to no avail. Yumi's cells instead had her pretend that she was not informed about the glass bathroom. Knowing this angered Goo Woong and he had to complain at the reservation department.
To save Yumi from humiliation, she admitted to booking the hotel room while being informed about the glass bathroom. Yumi got annoyed at Goo Woong's reaction and eventually blurted out about him having diarrhea at his house. The story had everyone at the restaurant listening which embarrassed Goo Woong.
On their way back to the hotel, they decided to pack their bags and go home. But the two eventually made up when Goo Woong apologized to Yumi and admitted that he does not want to let the precious moment pass by. The two then shared a passionate kiss.
