Yumi's Cells 2 is the second season of the cell-based psychological romance drama based on a hit webtoon about an ordinary office worker named Yumi. The series is told from the perspective of the protagonist's brain cells that control her thoughts, feelings, and movements.

Yumi’s Cells 2 Episode 6 sees Yumi and Babi’s relationship continuing to blossom. Every time the two have nothing to do in the afternoon, they meet at a restaurant near Babi’s office to have lunch.
One time, Yumi was waving goodbye to Babi after sharing another romantic memory. When she turns around, she sees Ruby walking not too far from her. Ruby recognizes her and was shocked to see her in the neighborhood.
Coincidentally, Yida also comes out of the office, and the three former co-workers get together to catch up on each other’s lives.
Ruby mentioned how she knows all the relationships made inside their office. She even had a theory that Babi is seeing someone, and she thinks he got back together with his ex-girlfriend.
The rumor made the aspiring writer anxious as she doesn’t want them to think that Babi got back together with his ex-girlfriend, but at the same time, she didn’t want to reveal their relationship.

After having dinner with a childhood friend, Yumi began to worry about her future now that she is unemployed. When all her other peers are getting promoted to a higher positions, she lives with her bank savings while taking writing lessons and workshops.
She knows that it was a brave decision to quit corporate life. But nonetheless, she is happy that she is doing what she loves. And she knows she will not regret trying.
The motivation from Babi also helped her, especially when she did not win the writing contest. Babi told her that it was nothing to be disappointed about as it was only her first time joining, and there will be more opportunities to come.

Just as Babi comes to Yumi’s home to comfort her, the latter’s parents make a surprise visit. Yumi’s parents brought all her favorite seafood and were confused seeing a new face inside their daughter’s apartment.
Babi introduces himself, and Yumi’s parents had a completely opposite reaction to it. Yumi’s father felt competitive and overprotective, while Yumi’s mother was bubbly and kept on asking Babi questions about his life.
When Yumi’s parents left after her father got injured trying to fix her loose cabinet, Yumi discovered that Babi might be a corporate heir. Her Writer Cell started to craft dramatic scenarios wherein Babi’s father gives her a huge sum of cash just to leave Babi.
Thankfully, Babi clarified that his family owns a tteokbokki restaurant and that he isn’t a chaebol or comes from an overly rich descent.
The night ended romantically, with Yumi’s Right Hand accomplishing a once-in-a-lifetime achievement.
