Yumi's Cells 2 is the second season of the cell-based psychological romance drama based on a hit webtoon about an ordinary office worker named Yumi. The series is told from the perspective of the protagonist's brain cells that control her thoughts, feelings, and movements.
For the first time in the history of Korean dramas, the drama is produced using a new format that combines live-action and 3D animation, piquing viewers' interest worldwide.
The first season focused on Yumi and Goo Woong’s relationship, which ended regretfully. Yumi’s Cells 2 will now open the chapter between Yumi and Babi after the latter confesses his emotions.

Yumi’s Cells 2 Episode 1 sees Yumi’s environment turning gray after her plans go unexpectedly. She was left wondering if she should take it back and reconsider her decision to part ways with Goo Woong.
As she sees Goo Woong continuously walking away from her, Yumi suddenly questions herself and reevaluates her decisions. The cells in the village also feel the same way until the Mailman Cell arrives with an envelope that symbolizes Yumi’s acceptance of the breakup.
However, Reason Cell refuses to accept it until Love Cell recovers. Due to this, Yumi spends the whole night regretting her decision and even calling Goo Woong’s phone in an attempt to revive their relationship.
Fortunately, Pride Cell managed to stop the other cells from interfering. Yumi then deleted Goo Woong’s contacts on her phone.
