Frieren’s next episode will be released in just a few days. Ahead of its broadcast, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End announced that the popular VA Yuichi Nakamura is joining the cast.
Nakamura being the newest addition to the cast was revealed on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. This reveal coincided with the new preview images for the anime’s 13th episode.
This is the second time that the series added a VA from Jujutsu Kaisen. For its 11th episode, Frieren added Takehito Koyasu, the voice actor of Toji Fushiguro.
Gojo VA Yuichi Nakamura Joins the Frieren Cast
Yuichi Nakamura is best known for being the voice of Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen. Given the events of the second season though, Nakamura now has more free time in his schedule.
Instead of taking some time off from big shows, Nakamura is going to play another character in a big Fall 23 series. In Frieren, Nakamura will voice Sein.
This new character will make his first appearance in Episode 13. Without getting into spoiler territory, Sein is a priest that Frieren’s party will meet as they continue their adventure to the north.
Aside from Sein, Nakamura also has more roles in other Fall 23 anime. These include Andy in Undead Unluck, Dwarf in Goblin Slayer II, and Jackson Taylor in MF Ghost.
Nakamura being an in-demand VA is nothing new. That’s because he has long been a go-to voice actor for many shows.
Gojo may be his most popular character, but Nakamura also has lots of other big roles. For instance, he is the VA of Houtarou Oreki in Hyouka, Gray Fullbuster in Fairy Tail, and Bruno Bucciarati in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Shares Episode 13 Preview
Sein is only about to make his first appearance in the anime. To give fans an idea of what to expect, Frieren shared a new preview that explained who he is.
In the next episode, Frieren, Fern, and Stark will arrive at a certain village. There, they will meet Sein, a priest with a penchant for drinking, smoking, and gambling.
Given Sein’s description, he seems reminiscent of Heiter. It’s likely that Frieren will also be reminded of her original party’s alcoholic priest.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Episode 13 will be released on December 1, 2023. The episode will be streamed on Crunchyroll in the US shortly after its Japanese TV broadcast.
