As he comes across the original series’ Season 5 Episode 6, The Rhinitis Revelation, it seems to hint at a major change in Mary’s (Zoe Perry) character.
A lot has happened in the fifth season that has greatly affected Mary, resulting in her emotional breakdown. However, now that she has bounced back after getting a new job, will fans see a different Mary in Young Sheldon Season 6?
The Events that May Change Mary in Young Sheldon Season 6
The fifth season saw the potential affair between George (Lance Barber) and Brenda (Melissa Peterman), the pregnancy of Georgie’s (Montana Jordan) girlfriend, Mandy (Emily Osment) and Mary’s almost affair with Rob (Dan Byrd).
To make matters worse, the congregation turned the Coopers away after the pregnancy issue, resulting in Mary losing her job.
So, according to Screenrant, these intense turns of events might incite Mary to change.

Add to that Armitage’s The Big Bang Theory research, watching The Rhinitis Revelation, where Mary seemed not to cater to the adult Sheldon’s every need; it seemed to hint a major change would happen to her character in Young Sheldon Season 6.
It has been known that Mary has been devoted to his genius son, but it may soon change as she begins to “establish some strong boundaries” in their relationship.
Their family’s situation may make her shift some of her attention to other things instead of focusing on the boy genius.
Aside from her new work, she also has to help Georgie as he becomes a young father.

However, it’s also possible the mother-and-child’s dynamic will eventually return before it reaches The Big Bang Theory timeline.
Young Sheldon Season 6 Cast and Storyline
The show is reportedly on hiatus, but work on Young Sheldon Season 6 will soon begin. In fact, the cast is now preparing for their big return.
It was recently announced that Osment is now a series regular and will continuously be seen as the pregnant girlfriend of Georgie, per Collider.

The 17-year-old Georgie, who lied about his age, will be a father, and this side of the story will continue in the sixth season. It will also see the events after George quits his job as a football coach at the high school and Georgie and Meemaw (Annie Potts) get arrested at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Young Sheldon Season 6 Release Date
Young Sheldon Season 6 will be out on Thursday, September 29, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
It will be quickly followed by Season 7 after the network announces its renewal, per Hidden Remote. So, fans are about to see more of the young Sheldon and the Cooper family.
