The Acolyte just aired its first two episodes, and fans are already loving Charlie Barnett's Jedi character Yord Fandar to the point that it has spawned a new fanbase called "Yord Horde."
Yord Fandar is introduced as a newly-knighted Jedi who is assisting Sol's investigation of the murder of Indara. He has a strong determination to help the Jedi Master in his mission and takes pride in his position as a Jedi Knight.
While the series has not done any deep dive into the character so far, Yord has already become a standout for many fans and it even resulted in a new fanbase that has become a surprise phenomenon in social media.

Since the first two episodes of The Acolyte aired last Tuesday night, fans have weighed in on the new Star Wars series on social media.
Interestingly, Yord Fandar has become an instant fan favorite as he is now the subject of many memes and adoration from many fans who have fallen in love with the character.
They have also come up with a new fanbase called "Yord Horde," which has become a popular phenomenon and hashtag for the character.

Dafne Keen, who plays Jecki Lon, has also acknowledged the "Yord Horde" phenomenon as she posted a video of Barnett in her Instagram story with the hashtag "#yordhorde."
Not only that, the "Yord Horde" phenomenon has also reached the official Star Wars social media page as they mentioned the fanbase in the caption of their recent post about the character.
There is no clear explanation right now why Yord suddenly became an instant fan favorite and the subject of an unexpected social media phenomenon, but it is clear that fans resonate with him and relate to his personality.
It is interesting to see whether the fanbase will grow as the season goes by and whether we will see more of the character's journey in the series since he is a key player in the main storyline.
