This upcoming series is being produced by Fuji TV, and it is an upcoming adaptation of the Ya Boy Kongming! manga, which is also the source material for the hit anime show.

Spring 2022 had several big hits such as Spy x Family and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War Season 3. Though unexpectedly, Ya Boy Kongming! became a huge viral hit during that season.

One of the main reasons the anime went viral is its incredibly catchy opening song Chiki Chiki Bam Bam by QUEENDOM.

It also helped that the opening featured a simple yet catchy dance that trended on various social media platforms.

Aside from the opening song, the anime’s unique premise also helped it become one of the season’s most popular.

As the title implies, Ya Boy Kongming! follows the famous Chinese military strategist Zhuge Liang Kongming.

The series starts with Kongming’s death in the year 234. On his deathbed, Kongming wishes to be reborn with a peaceful life.

His wish is granted as he finds himself reborn in modern Japan. While he finds himself transported there as his younger self, he is still wearing his traditional outfit.

Thankfully, he wakes up in the middle of Shibuya on Halloween.
