X-Men Dark Phoenix Trailer Possibly Dropping This Wednesday

This June will see the release of X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and though we already have a trailer for the film, it barely gives us any dazzling visuals to be excited about. Rumors have been going around that a new trailer will be dropping soon, and insider Daniel Richtman gives us an exact date on when it comes out.

This is his post:

This also echoes to a recent post by Richtman who says that the trailer will be dropping really late at night. We don't know as to the reason why, but Richtman himself is suspicious that Fox is trying to undersell this movie. Test screenings for Dark Phoenix were said to have gone bad as well.

For now, we don't know if the movie will actually be bad, but based on what we've experienced from long delays and extensive reshoots, it usually isn't a good sign. It also kind of doesn't help that Simon Kinberg is in the director's chair for the first time, the Disney/Fox merger is also at the height of finalization.

With Dark Phoenix, it's said that this will serve as capping off of the X-franchise that was started by Bryan Singer back in 2000. Though this is rumored to be the final movie in the main X-Men timeline, we're still getting New Mutants later in the year to officially end Fox's mutant run. If there are any other spinoffs coming whether it be X-Force or Deadpool 3, it would now have to release under the Disney banner.

Catch X-Men: Dark Phoenix in theaters June 7, 2019.
