X-Men Dark Phoenix Set Photo Gives Us Glimpse at Team's New Uniforms

X-Men: Apocalypse ended with us getting a look at the characters wearing something close to their comic-book outfits, but a new set photo from X-Men: Dark Phoenix somewhat proves that the team will be coming back to familiar uniforms.

Xavier Files shared this on Twitter:

The costumes look inspired by the 2001 Quitely X-Men uniforms, and those costumes themselves being a callback to the classic black and yellow outfits from the very first appearance of the X-Men. Though I'm fine with the new look of the characters, I know that some fans would have loved to see more of the different outfits; after all, some think that the X-Men's attire was purposefully different as to celebrate how unique each character was.

With Bryan Singer out of the picture, Simon Kinberg has now taken the reins for the first time to direct X-Men: Dark Phoenix. We haven't been hearing about any hiccups from the set at all, so things must be going smoothly. Hopefully it turns out better than Bryan Singer's most recent project, Bohemian Rhapsody, which he was kicked out of for unprofessional behavior.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix comes out Nov. 2.
