X-Men: Dark Phoenix Motion Poster Teases When The First Trailer Will Come Out


"I've seen evil and I'm looking at it now."

The first trailer for Simon Kinberg's X-Men: Dark Phoenix is finally set to premiere on The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS tonight, and it will most likely be released online around the same time.

A motion poster has also been released to tease the upcoming trailer, and it features an image of Sophie Turner's titular role as Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix and the voices of various characters from the film. An official synopsis has also been released. Check out the motion poster and synopsis below:

Synopsis:

In Dark Phoenix, the X-Men face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling our of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite - not only to save Jean's soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix will see the return of James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Sophie Grace, and Alexandra Shipp. Jessica Chastain is expected to play a mysterious villain in the film.

X-Men: The Dark Phoenix is set to release in theaters on February 14, 2019.
