WWE Superstar Booker T Suing Activision for Allegedly Copying His G.I. Bro Character in Black Ops 4

Whelp, we've got another celebrity suing a video game company over something and it is weirder than most cases. Booker T, a WWE Hall of Famer and 6-time World Champion, is suing Activision because he feels that David "Prophet" Wilkes from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 looks too much like Booker T's obscure G.I. Bro character.

No, not the lame character he portrayed back in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) but a comic book he made in the '90s called G.I. Bro and the Dragon of Death. Really.

If you look at the two characters, there is sort of a resemblance there (via The Verge) but it is worth noting that they have completely different backstories. Booker T's G.I. Bro is described as "a retired special operations soldier, fighting an old enemy he thought he had finished off years before, with the support of his old military friends." Meanwhile, Prophet is a soldier who replaced most of his body parts with cybertechnology to be a better soldier.

Considering how Activision and Blizzard have just laid off a lot of employees, the lawsuit is hardly what the company needs right now. It will be interesting to see how this is settled since it's doubtful a lot of people even remember who G.I. Bro is. Then again, maybe Booker is right. That or one of the artists likes Booker T.
