We all want the best for ourselves. Even in anime, we're always looking for new shows to watch. When a new anime season starts, we're all looking for the best and worst of it. If you're looking for the best anime of all time, chances are you're also looking for the worst anime of all time to avoid!

Don't worry; we've got you covered! This list is based on some of the lowest-rated shows on MyAnimeList, as well as my own opinion.

While watching good anime is enjoyable, the worst anime can serve as a benchmark for your standards.

  1. Tesla Note

Tesla Note, with a 4.67 MAL rating, is an anime that deserves to be on our list. Not only does the anime have a poor and perplexing plot, but the aesthetics and animation also suffer.

The Tesla Note anime flips between 2D and 3D visuals like a dying fish, making it unwatchable if you're driven by aesthetics.

In any event, Tesla Note follows Negoro, the best intelligence agent in Mission T, as he works with his partner to reclaim Nikola Tesla's inheritance, while other agents from other countries try to do the same.

  2. Garzey’s Wing

Garzey's Wing is one of those animes that makes you doubt yourself in a negative way.

The plot is illogical, and you will be thrust into a new level of horror. The character designs are distracting, but not to the point of being unwatchable. It can be somewhat unappealing, yet it is bearable.

Not to mention that the voice performers, whether in an English or Japanese version, are constantly shouting and screaming.

The anime, which has a 4.13 MAL rating, follows an ordinary student named Chris until he is drawn into Byston Well, a place halfway between Heaven and Hell. His physical body, on the other hand, is in the real world, while his soul is not.

  3. Gibiate

Gibiate is a poor anime that is regarded as the worst in the community. Binge-watching Gibiate is not worth your time.

The only way to have fun with Gibiate is to post a review on Reddit about how much of a hassle the anime is. After all, it's more entertaining to review something negative than something positive. Or Is it just me?

There is no plot; the characters simply wish to live to the end. It will irritate you, but you will be encouraged to watch the subsequent episodes to see if things will improve over time.

Gibiate is set in 2030, when Japan has become a shelter for humans who are suddenly transforming into monsters.

Gibia was the name of these creatures, and they were successful in inflicting havoc across Japan. The anime follows a samurai, a ninja, and a doctor as they attempt to endure the worst in Gibiate.

  4. Conception

Conception is well-known in the community not for its quality, but for being one of the worst shows ever produced. The show is frequently referred to as one of the dumbest in anime history, and it is frequently trashed.

Regardless, many people still recommend Conception since it contains some of the funniest moments ever, even when the show is deadly serious in redeeming itself.

MAL gives it a 4.61 rating. Yuge Itsuki is a character in the anime Conception who is summoned to exorcise the land's impurities.

Yuge's purpose requires him to impregnate women in order to generate Star Children who will put an end to the plague in Granvia.

  5. Ex-Arm

Ex-Arm is a Crunchyroll original that will make you wonder about the producers' sanity, with a record low 2.93 MAL rating.

Some describe the show as ground-breaking not because it is visionary, but because it will make your eyes bleed. Not literally!

I'm not exaggerating at all. Ex-Arm isn't even a good watch, thanks to the horribly done 3D CGI. Not to mention the fact that the studio behind it has no prior expertise in producing an anime show.

  6. Pupa

Pupa is one of those animes that I watched solely for the sake of the title. Although I am unfamiliar with the series, it is frequently recommended with Kodomo no Jikan and Boku no Pico.

In the end, it's a disaster. To say the least, it's distressing and creepy. A warning that the show deals with incest and cannibalism.

Pupa has a 3.32 MAL rating and is about the siblings, Utsutsu and Yume. When Yume contracts the Pupa virus, Utsutsu offers his body to Yume to feast on.

Utsutsu is also infected with the Pupa virus, which permits him to regenerate parts of his body that have been cannibalized by his sister, which is very unpleasant.

  7. Skelter Heaven

Because of its horrible reputation, Skelter Heaven is a well-known anime. Skelter Heaven is a waste of time that would have been better served as a promotional ad rather than an OVA.

Even if you're only interested in seeing the anime because it's been recommended by a lot of people, it's still worth watching for the laughs. Skelter Heaven's 1.85 MAL rating speaks words about how bad it is.

In Tokyo, genetically engineered female humanoids are tasked with protecting the world from a mysterious hovering object. They are taught to pilot mecha robots till their dying breath under the supervision of Funagai Otoya.

  8. Mars of Destruction

Mars of Destruction is an anime that was barely even produced. The plot is shallow, and neither the characters nor the plot is interesting. The anime is only entertaining if you want to laugh at the show's premise.

It's a science fiction anime comedy that will make you chuckle even if you have no idea what's going on. It elevates the word "bad" to a new level of horror.

The anime follows Hinata Takeru, a high school student who helps the Anti-Unidentified Ancients Special Team stop the Ancients from killing humans. He is charged with transporting the fragments of the 2010 Mars Exploration Vessel into safe hands while wearing the Anti Ancient Suit Mars.

  9. Abbunai Sisters: Koko & Mika

Abbunai Sisters: Koko & Mika has a low rating of 2.48, making it one of the worst anime created by Production I.G. There isn't a single redeeming quality in Abbunai Sisters, even if you stick around to watch it improve.

The Abbunai Sisters first caught my eye because they reminded me of the visuals from the famed Jimmy Neutron cartoon. Both shows are incomparable. If you're an adventurous anime fan, check out Abbunai Sisters.

The anime follows two well-known celebrities, Koko and Mia, who desire to relax on the beach but are interrupted by sinister forces. They want Koko and Mia exclusively! Fortunately, Mia and Koko are busty enough to avoid harm!

  10. My Sister, My Writer

My Sister, My Writer is a production disaster. The animation is so terrible that you'll cringe the entire first episode. The story, the characters, and everything in between is a complete train wreck.

Look further away if you're looking for anime like Oreimo. It's a low-budget animation with little effort from the cast and crew.

The anime follows the siblings, Yuu and Suzuka. While Yuu strives to win the light novel contest, Suzuka manages to win the competition with her amateur romantic comedy entry.

Since she doesn’t know anything about the world of light novels, she asks her brother to stand in and take the identity of her pen name, Towano Chikai.

  11. Eiken

Perhaps one of J.C. Staff's worst, Eiken is an exceptionally awful anime that obliterates all previous Ecchi anime shows.

The animation in Eiken is the weakest aspect, and it will make you doubt J.C Staff's reputation from the first episode. The characters are oversexualized, and jiggle physics are a prominent anime trope! Just looking at the character's body types will make you uncomfortable.

Eiken is a comedy anime that follows Mifune as he endeavors to join a school club full of beautiful slender women.

Among the lovely and bustling students, he is the only man in the club. He frequently finds himself in compromising circumstances with club members.

  12. Vampire Holmes

Vampire Holmes, which was released in 2015, stunned the anime community with its terrible animation, which will stick with you for years.

It appears to be a flash animation, with the figures standing there as if they were green-screened. They lack emotion and are technically non-expressive! If Mars of Destruction and Pupa are horrible, then Vampire Holmes is even worse.

I recommend viewing the anime if you want to feel the same anguish I had when I was younger. It has no redeeming characteristics; there is no plot, the characters are superficial, and it is simply a waste of time.
