Woody Harrelson is probably one of the most versatile actors in Hollywood, with roles spanning from dramas like The People vs. Larry Flynt, to comedies like Anger Management and Zombieland. He's also been cast in the Han Solo spin-off movie, and by the looks of it, he's pretty positive that it will turn out great.
In an interview with Collider, Harrelson opens up about directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller:
"They're great. You know, any movie's only as good as the director or in this case directors, and so I have a suspicion, because if you look at the whole, all the movies, the backlog of every one of these movies, there's a lot of great stuff, but one might not be not as good with the writing in this or the acting in that or the directing in that, this has great actors, great directors, great script, and I really feel like we're gonna make the best one."
Lord and Miller have actually been having a stellar run with their movies, releasing hit after hit with 21 Jumpstreet and The Lego Movie. With Lucasfilm making a great choice with Gareth Edwards directing Rogue One, I'm confident they knew what they were doing when hiring the director duo.
As for Harrelson's role, it's still a mystery on who he'll be. The best guess is that he'll be playing Han's pseudo-mentor. In Legends, his name was Garris Shrike, but who knows who they could bring in with the movies?
So far, only good news has been surrounding the Han Solo movie, and several people have been commending it for its amazing script. Good thing we won't have to wait till December 2018 to see the movie.
Han Solo: A Star Wars Story, comes out on May 25, 2018.
