Wonder Woman 84 is nearing its release date on Christmas day but we get a new look for the iconic superhero in the comics. Wonder Woman gets a new look and a new role on Infinite Frontier #0. Her story continues in Valhalla where it was left off in Wonder Woman #770.
The Infinite Frontier #0 teases at Wonder Woman settling into her new role in the godsphere. Diana Prince's role in the Infinite Frontier would mean she will find herself in the Norse afterlife of Valhalla, without any idea on how she got there.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Infinite Frontier #0 co-writer Joshua Williamson said:
"There's a framing device I'm working on, starring Wonder Woman and the Spectre, and we get to see sort of this sneak peek glimpse of what's happening, and we get to play around with these big toys and have some fun, getting a good lead-in to 2021 for DC and beyond. The thing we're doing with Wonder Woman and the Spectre, that's written by me, Scott, and James was drawn by John Timms, and that pretty much immediately picks up some of the pieces from Death Metal, and it lets us move that ball forward a little bit and show kind of what's going on with Wonder Woman and certain parts of the DCU. They act as our POV characters, they act as our witnesses, to this new DCU -- I say "new DCU. but it's the same DCU fans love, it's just time to move and to do like this next stage."
Aside from a new role, Wonder Woman will also not have her iconic red and blue outfit but will wear a full white costume. It looks elegant on the Amazonian warrior princess while emphasizing her grace, beauty, and fierceness.
Infinite Frontier #0 is written by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, Geoff Johns, Geoffrey Thorne, Joshua Williamson, Brian Michael Bendis, Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Michael W. Conrad, Becky Cloonan, Tim Sheridan, and Joelle Jones. It will be illustrated by Howard Porter, John Timms, Alitha Martinez, Joelle Jones, David Marquez, Jorge Jimenez, Jamal Igle, Stephen Byrne, Dexter Soy, Rafa Sandoval, John Romita Jr., and Alex Maleev.
Infinite Frontier #0 will go on sale on March 2, 2021.
