Wonder Woman 1984: Could Sameer End Up as Blackhawk?

With Wonder Woman taking place in the 1910s, you can imagine that all of Diana's war buddies had died by the time Wonder Woman 1984 comes out. What's interesting is, Said Taghmaoui (Sameer) is possibly teasing a Blackhawk role.

Check out his post:

He had actually posted about this way back when Wonder Woman came out, but we haven't gotten an update since. While I don't expect Sameer to make an appearance in this film, having him be Blackhawk could possibly be linked to how Diana gets the invisible jet. Maybe we can even get a flashback where he continues to work with Diana in the 40s.

Though we haven't been getting any relevant updates, it was reported before that Steven Spielberg would be up to direct a Blackhawk movie. Seeing that he's so busy working on West Side Story with Indiana Jones 5 set to follow, we don't know when Blackhawk will eventually happen. Depending on how enthusiastic WB is about the project, I expect they would either wait for Spielberg or just have someone else take over. You think Christopher Nolan would be open to making another war epic akin to Dunkirk?

Again, this is just speculation on our part, but I don't think it's impossible that the movie would try to make more connections to the first Wonder Woman film. Sameer is probably one of the more fun characters, so it would be cool to see how he ended up. Personally, I want to know what happens to Steve Trevor's secretary Etta Candy.

Catch Wonder Woman 1984 in theaters June 5, 2020.
