Wolverine 3 May Have A Surprising Title, First Footage Coming To Comic-Con

Now that X-Men: Apocalypse is already out in theaters, fans are looking forward to see the third and final Wolverine film starring Hugh Jackman. And now, it looks like we may have an official title for the solo X-Men film: Weapon X!

The rumor came from Gamezone, whose sources, which they make a point to insist are reliable, has confirmed Weapon X to be the title of the final Wolverine film. This report contradicts the Old Man Logan storyline that many comic book experts were predicting the film will take inspiration from. While this might not be the title that we're expecting, Weapon X actually makes a lot of sense.

The Weapon X program is a key part of the character because it was the experiment that turned Logan into Wolverine. However, the film could still include elements from Mark Millar's Old Man Logan story arc, which sees the character much further along in life.

The report also said that the film's title will officially be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con 2016, and that they will first footage from the film along with a poster.

Not much has been revealed about Wolverine 3 so far. We know that Rila Fukushima was cast recently, and we heard some rumored villains that will appear in the film.

Wolverine 3 or possibly Weapon X will hit theaters on March 2, 2017.
