The report said that the project is being conceptualized as a mixed-reality animated series where viewers will be participating in the show through different mediums such as mobile, tablets, or wearable devices. They can view it as stand-alone, but with the level of immersion into the show, its characters and technology are enhanced by the ability to become part of the narrative. In other words, it sounds like it will be an interactive show.

TekWar is a science fiction novel set in 2043 futuristic Los Angeles which follows a former detective named Jake Cardigan, who was framed for the crime of dealing with an illegal and mind-altering digital drug in the form of a microchip called "Tek." The chip is deemed dangerous as it could become a virus and will lead to an unrecoverable future.

It is impressive that Shatner, who is currently 90 years old, is still actively working and believes in the advancement of technology. The concept of this new TekWar series sounds intriguing since it is interactive and it sounds like an immersive experience that could be played as a VR game. It also sounds timely since it is dealing with a virus. There's no information yet about how the series will be played, but we can assume that viewers can watch it through a mobile app or it will be in a streaming service like Netflix that has interactive shows on its platform.
