We're just a few months away from the premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home and as frustrating as it already is, it's quite obvious that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are purposely prolonging the arrival of the film's first official teaser, a strategy that is certainly paying off so far because it's creating a ton of buzz all over social media.

Speaking of buzz, the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase Four film is said to mark the return of Willem Dafoe aka Green Goblin who is set to lead the multiversal version of the Sinister Six along with already confirmed cast members Jamie Foxx (Electro), Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus), Jake Gyllenhaal (Mysterio), Michael Keaton (Vulture), and possibly Michael Mando (Scorpion).

Now, amidst all the rumors, Willem Dafoe is finally breaking his silence regarding his potential return to the Marvel universe. In an interview with The Wrap, Dafoe, who is set to reprise his role as Vulco in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was asked about the ongoing rumors linking him to the upcoming MCU offering.

Unsurprisingly, he chose to play coy and offered a "no comment" remark regarding the matter. He would later explain that it's never his style to talk about a film that has yet to come out. Pretty clever answer if you'll ask me. He said: "I got lots of stuff happening now. And, you know, I always feel like when a film comes out, that's when it's time to talk about it."

Marvel is quite notorious for its secrecy so it's only natural for actors like Dafoe to play coy on the matter. Still, I'm pretty convinced that we will indeed see the Sinister Six wreak havoc in Earth-616 and I've said this countless times over the last couple of months, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures would be (excuse my word) stupid for not cashing in on a Spider-Verse type of film especially now that the MCU is set to explore the multiverse.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit cinemas in December 2021.
