Will NCT and WayV member Lucas finally return to the K-pop scene?
Lucas has been out of the spotlight ever since his alleged girlfriend accused him of gaslighting and money leeching. Due to the issue, his agency, SM Entertainment, canceled the release of his and Hendery's single Jalapeño.
"Lucas is deeply reflecting on having caused great pain and disappointment due to his wrong behavior, and the agency also feels responsible for our poor management of the artist," it said. "We once again deeply apologize for causing concern to many people including fans with Lucas's personal matters."
After being on hiatus for over a year, buzz about his potential comeback emerged.

Will Lucas Join SuperM’s Comeback?
SM Entertainment and Capitol Music Group created the supergroup in 2019. It consists of seven members from four different boy groups under the agency: SHINee’s Taemin, EXO’s Baekhyun and Kai, NCT127’s Taeyong and Mark, and WayV’s Lucas and Ten.
During the SMTOWN LIVE 2023: SMCU PALACE @ KWANGYA, SM Entertainment announced that SuperM would return in 2023, showing the banner with the text, “SuperM will be coming in 2023.”

It also uploaded a trailer on SuperM’s YouTube channel, showing seven lasers rising from a mountain range. This represents the seven members, but it remains unknown whether Lucas will join the original lineup.
As of press time, Baekhyun and Taemin are still serving their mandatory military service. Thus, it is not yet known when exactly the supergroup would make its comeback.
TVXQ Yunho To Replace Lucas?
Although SM Entertainment has not confirmed anything yet, there have been buzzes that TVXQ Yunho would join the comeback instead.
Fans started speculating about the matter as the senior K-pop idol had the least amount of activities in the past months. Still, this should be taken with a grain of salt as no official announcement has been released.
SuperM’s 2023 comeback will be its first project since releasing Super One. The album ranked second on the US Billboard’s main album chart in the first week of release. The group also became part of the Recovery Plan for the World Campaign alongside Miley Cyrus, Usher, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, and Hugh Jackman, to name a few.
