MNH Entertainment announced on Monday that its first boy band, which it has since been renamed to 8TURN, will debut later this month.

"The name of the band means that it is the eight members' turn to lead the K-pop scene with their infinite potential," the agency said in a statement, per Korea JoongAng Daily.

The company has not revealed the concept of the boy group’s music and when the music video or a song would be released. But it assured the fans that it would share further details in the next coming days or weeks.

MNH Entertainment is founded by Kim Won Seop on Nov. 18, 2014. It is currently home to Chungha, Lim Sang Hyun, Yoon Jae Yong, Vvon, and BVNDIT. The latter became the agency’s first girl group after debuting in 2019.

MNH Entertainment’s Girl Group Disbanded

The arrival of 8TURN will also mark the first time MNH debuted a group after BVNDIT’s disbandment.

Following its debut in 2019, the five-member group announced its split after members — Yiyeon, Songhee, Jungwoo, Seungeun and Simyeong — terminated their contracts. The girl group celebrated its third-anniversary last year and had its first comeback in two years with Re-Original.

BVNDIT was able to release three extended plays — Be!, Carnival and Re-Original. It also had one single album, Bvndit Be Ambitious!, and several singles like Venom, Jungle, Hocus Pocus, Dramatic, Dumb, Children and Cool.

Before its disbandment, it received several nominations from different accolades, including Genie Music Awards (The Top Artist, The Female Artist, Genie Music Popularity Award, and Global Popularity Award) and MNET Asian Music Awards (Artist of the Year, Best New Female Artist, Worldwide Fans’ Choice Top 10, and 2019 Qoo10 Favorite Female Artist).
