Will Turner's Son Confirmed For Pirates Of Caribbean 5

After On Stranger Tides was received with mixed reviews, Disney is planning on reinvigorating the entire Pirates of the Caribbean franchise with Dead Men Tell No Tales. A new featurette has been released for the movie which includes a ton of new shots, as well as the confirmation of Will Turner's (Orlando Bloom) son.

Like some people have already been speculating, Brenton Thwaites' character is confirmed to be Henry Turner. At World's End had a post-credits scene which featured Keira Knightly's Elizabeth Turner taking care of her and Will's child, and it looks like the boy has gone against his family's pirate legacy and joined the British Navy.

We also get new looks at Javier Bardem's Captain Salazar, as well as Henry's potential love interest Carina Smyth (played by Kaya Scodelario). It looks like the movie will be going back to the formula of Curse of the Black Pearl, and have the story focus instead on a young Turner who is whisked away on an adventure thanks to Jack Sparrow.

Oddly enough, the biggest star of the movie, Johnny Depp, is absent from the featurette. Then again, it could possibly be because of the onset problems that have been coming about with the actor following his split with ex-wife Amber Heard.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters May 26.
