Will There Be The Last of Us Season 2?
Just after two episodes in the series, The Last of Us Season 2 has been given an green light which means that the series will continue for another run on HBO! The show has already reached a star status given that it is one of the highest rated shows, to date, this year.
The Last of Us does not just stop there as the beloved post-apocalyptic TV series also has multiple seasons planned which has been revealed just after the release of the finale of the first season.
Speaking with GQ magazine, showrunners Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin seemingly confirmed that The Last of Us will have more than two seasons, Druckmann said, “[The Last of Us] is more than one season.”
Mazin added, “You have noted correctly that we will not say how many. But more than one is factually correct.”

The Last of Us Season 2 is expected to pick up the events following the finale of the first season where Joel saved Ellie from the Fireflies after Marlene revealed that in order to make a cure, the doctors would have to get the source of Ellie's immunity -- her brain.
That means Ellie would have to die in order for the rest of humanity to be saved. With Joel now being like a father to Ellie, he could not let that happen, not after he lost Sarah, he's not losing another daughter, even when Ellie is not his blood.
Now, Joel and Ellie are on their way back to the camp of Tommy where a home is waiting for them, but still, there is some doubt within Ellie that Joel may have been lying to her about what really happened. Despite such, Joel stood his ground, and Ellie has to hold onto something.
