After six episodes, Ms. Marvel finally wraps up the show with a bow and a twist in the end that made everyone's jaw drop, even having a post-credits scene that could possibly set-up her next appearance in The Marvels. However, will the show get a Season 2 or will it be a limited series?
Will There Be Ms. Marvel Season 2?
The finale of Ms. Marvel brings about the whole origin story of Kamala Khan as a superhero after she learned her past, defended her present, and embraced her future. The tease in the end even left everyone hanging with such a shocking reveal that could change the course of the whole MCU.
With such a heartwarming series, it easily became a runaway hit for Marvel on Disney Plus and fans are already wondering whether Ms. Marvel will get another season.
However, to date, there is no confirmation yet whether there would be Season 2 for Ms. Marvel. Marvel shows on Disney Plus do not always get a second season, in fact, as of the time of writing, only one series bagged another run, Loki.
The executive producer and writer of Ms. Marvel, Sana Amanat, had a chat with ScreenRant where she, herself, is hoping for the show to have a second season, “It is laid out as a limited series for her to go off and do other things. Like, it certainly establishes [her as a hero]."
Samanat added, "She will be going into The Marvels next, so that’s kind of there. But I will say, I really hope that she is a part … you know, I hope we get a Season 2 is all I’m gonna say. I hope we’re a part of that.”
Looking at Phase Four of the MCU, there is no showing whether Ms. Marvel would have a second season but hopefully, given that it currently sits as the highest-rated series of the MCU as per Rotten Tomatoes, an announcement would be close by. Take note that Marvel has a panel in the upcoming San Diego Comic Con.
All the six episodes of Ms. Marvel Season 1 is currently streaming on Disney Plus.
