Ms. Marvel Finale Ending Explained: Is Kamala Khan MCU's First Mutant?
From one retcon to another, Kamala Khan's MCU debut has been full of changes from her powers and this time, to her origins as she may be the first-ever mutant in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as revealed in the finale of Ms. Marvel, Episode 6, No Normal.
The title of the episode is so fitting because there is nothing normal being a superhero. After the standoff between Kamala, Kamran, and the gang at school against the Department of Damage Control's Agent Sadie Deever, things are pretty much back to the way it was.
Bruno arrives in the car of Kamran who the latter allegedly left to him and while the atmosphere is quite cheery, Bruno drops the big news to Kamala. No, Bruno wasn't bored, with Kamala's powers seemingly genetic, Aamir, her brother wanted to know if he has abilities, too.
As it turns out, there is something different with the genes of Kamala and as Bruno described it, it is "like a mutation." Kamala is surprised but she chose to brush it off as if it's a problem for another day or another time.
As if on cue, the background music slides down a hint that Kamala may, indeed, be the very first mutant of the MCU as the theme of X-Men '97 plays on the background as Kamala tries to understand what just happened.
If the MCU would now insert mutants in the equation, the Department of Damage Control could be a starting villain just like in X-Men with the government being the enemy. Could Ms. Marvel be the first ever mutant in the MCU?
Do you think the mutants are now getting into the MCU starting with Kamala?
Ms. Marvel Episode 6, the finale, is now streaming on Disney Plus.
