Michael Myers definitely became a horror movie icon when he first appeared in 1978 in the now-classic slasher film Halloween and all the sequels and remakes that followed it. To date, it remains to be one of the most successful line of flicks with a total of 11 already released. Will there be another addition for the franchise? Well, you're in it for a treat with the arrival of Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends this 2021 and 2022.
Will There Be Another Halloween Movie?
It is an absolute yes! The story of Michael Myers continues and just because you saw him in fire under a burning building in the 2018 Halloween does not mean he wouldn't survive again, in fact, trailers of Halloween Kills show how Michael got out of the fire, an unknowing fireman thought of him to be a survivor and he shows his gratitude to them for saving him through killing them all. Isn't he sweet?
A little background of the movie series, the first film in the franchise was released in 1978 and eight sequels followed. Halloween III: Season of the Witch has no connection to the others at all. The 2007 movie was a remake of the one in 1978 and a sequel to that was released in 2009. From the original film, a direct sequel came out in 2018 and following that would be two sequels, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends this 2021 and 2022. That makes a total of 13 films all in all.
The original final girl, scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role from the original 1978 film and she remains to be as amazing as she used to be when she appeared in the first one when she returned for the direct sequel in 2018. She'll be back for more in Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends and hopefully, it would finally be the last of Michael Myers.
Halloween Kills comes out on October 15, 2021, in theaters and on Peacock, are you ready for more of Michael Myers? If not yet, here is where you can watch all other Halloween movies to refresh your mind of his story throughout the four decades of the movies.
