Doctor Stone Season 3 would bring many more fans into excitement as the second season, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars is about to come to a close with the season finale approaching in a few days and with the Kingdom of Science fast approaching their victory against the Tsukasa Army and making their vision of bringing Earth back to its prime modernity closer than ever.

The chart-topping anime of TMS Entertainment is following the genius boy, Senku Ishigami, who emerged from his stone enclosure and aims to do the same to the rest of humankind trapped in their stones 3,700 years after a mysterious light hit Earth turning everyone into stone.

Senku is a man of science, a visionary who believes that science can bring back the Earth the way it used to be. On the other hand, someone else is a visionary of the survival of the fittest – Tsukasa Shishiou. Tsukasa believes only the fittest would have to be taken out of their stone enclosures to take on the stone world.

A divide between humanity is made: one for the Kingdom of Science along with Senku and one for the Empire of Might along with Tsukasa.

The Kingdom of Science seems to be going forward while the Tsukasa Empire is going backward. The Kingdom of Science and Ishigami village believes that science would help bring back the world to the way it used to be and everyone deserves to experience life once again, and the Tsukasa Empire, those who believe in the survival of the fittest.

Succeeding and thriving, The Kingdom of Science is getting progress to bring back the world from what it used to be with the perspective to win over the Tsukasa army on their side as they prepare for their attack on the Tsukasa Empire, the empire seems to grow in numbers.

The animated series is based on the pages of the Japanese shōnen manga series of the same name by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi which is published in the Weekly Shonen Jump. The series started in March of 2017 and is still ongoing according to the Dr. Stone website and Viz. It is still ongoing but the storyline seems to be heading to the conclusion.

The manga series ofDr. Stone has many arcs which are divided into various Sagas: The Prologue Saga, Ishigami Village Saga, Stone Wars Saga, Source of the Petrification Saga, and The Truth Of The Petrification Saga.

The second season, Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, is based on the Stone Wars Saga, hence the name. With the second season nearing its finale with 11 episodes, many have been lurking as to whether the anime series would be having its third season anytime soon.

Great news for the fans and viewers as Dr. Stone recently announced the arrival of their third season through a video post on both YouTube and Twitter.

As mentioned earlier, the manga series is divided into various sagas and only two have been covered so far. This means that for Dr. Stone Season 3, the anime series could delve into the other sagas and could cover either the Source of the Petrification Saga or The Truth Of The Petrification Saga for one whole season.

Given that Dr. Stone's coverage grew within only two seasons, there is no doubt that Dr. Stone would be able to secure a third season. The staggering high ratings of the show have proven that the anime series could deliver well to the audience and at the same time, audience reception of the show turns out well as the ratings for Dr. Stone and Dr. Stone: Stone Wars has been consistently topping the charts.

It is expected that the series would most likely be a split-cour with 22 to 24 episodes all in all. This means that there would be a three-month TV broadcast break in between the season once the episode hits either its 11th or 12th.

Not only that, given that Funimation is known for their English simuldub programs, it is also possible that the same would be given to the third season. And the English dubbed version would sing all the birds and the bees as it would surely be a delight to many fans and viewers of the show.

TMS Entertainment had just scored Dr. Stone another season because of all the reasons mentioned above. With this, there sure is more to the anime with Senku and the Kingdom of Science.

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars Season Finale arrives in a few days via Funimation and Crunchyroll.
