Dr. Stone has been a promising anime series that sprung from the Japanese Shōnen manga series of the same name by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi. It is produced and animated by TMS Entertainment and given the popularity and great reviews, it sealed its second season which is currently airing via Funimation and Crunchyroll.

The manga series of Dr. Stone has many arcs which are divided into various Sagas: The Prologue Saga, Ishigami Village Saga, Stone Wars Saga, Source of the Petrification Saga, and The Truth Of The Petrification Saga. Of all these, the second season of the anime series is featuring the Stone Wars Saga.

Dr. Stone features the story of the genius boy who aims to de-petrify the rest of the human race from their stone prisons, Senku Ishigami, who is drawn and driven by science for inventions and advancement of the Stone World he woke up in.

Some 3,700 years ago, the world was hit by a mysterious light that turned all living beings into stone. While Senku thinks everyone should be given a chance back in life, some oppose his idea. His nemesis, Tsukasa Shihiou, is a believer in the survival of the fittest, and only those who can survive the Stone World should be taken out of their stones.

In a literal Stone age, the human race is divided into factions: those belonging to Ishigami village and the Kingdom of Science, and those belonging in the Tsukasa Empire.

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars, takes on the world where the Kingdom of Science is slowly reinventing things such as cellular phones and steam engines. However, these advancements are not without a challenge as the army of Tsukasa's empire grows in number.
