The Haikyuu!! Final movie is finally out today in Japanese cinemas. This has led many to ask: will the Haikyuu: Battle of the Garbage Dump movie ever be released on Crunchyroll?
A Crunchyroll release would be ideal for many fans, especially given that all of the anime’s seasons are available on the platform. What’s more, not everyone can or would prefer to watch the film in theaters.
Still, many Haikyuu fans want to see the film on the big screen. So, many are also hoping for it to get a US cinema release soon.
Haikyuu Final Movie Releases in Japanese Cinemas Today
Haikyuu is one of the most popular sports manga of the 2010s, and it ended its run in Shonen Jump back in 2020.
The manga also received an anime adaptation from Production I.G, though it has yet to adapt the entire story.
Finally, the Haikyuu anime is set to wrap up its story with the two-part Final movie.
The first of the two-parter is titled Haikyuu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump, and it was released in Japanese cinemas today.
Given the series’ popularity, the movie got a wide release in the country, complete with an IMAX release.
This makes sense considering other big anime film releases like Spy x Family Code: White and The Boy and the Heron were also released in IMAX cinemas.
For now, there’s no word yet on international release plans for the new Haikyuu film.
Considering that shonen anime films get released in US cinemas quite regularly, it’s likely that we’ll see the Haikyuu movie get a theatrical run.

Will the Haikyuu: Battle of the Garbage Dump Movie Be on Crunchyroll? Our Predictions
As for a streaming release, the Haikyuu: Battle of the Garbage Dump movie will likely be released on Crunchyroll at some point in the future.
This is based on the fact that Crunchyroll has all four seasons of the anime, as well as some of the compilation films available to stream.
What’s more, Crunchyroll has also released popular anime films from Shonen Jump franchises like Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and One Piece Film: Red.
The question is, when will it be released? The aforementioned Jujutsu Kaisen and One Piece movies were only released on Crunchyroll after six months and a year, respectively.
Thus, it’s likely that if the Haikyuu film does become available on the streamer, fans may have to wait until 2025.
