Are Song Hye Kyo And Park Bo Gum Reuniting For Encounter Season 2?

Despite the popularity and impressive ratings that the K-drama series had received when it was still being aired, tvN has not yet made any confirmation that Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum are doing Encounter Season 2.

Devoted followers of the trending K-drama series want to know what happened between Cha Soo Hyun (Song Hye Kyo) and Kim Ji Hyeok (Park Bo Gum) after the heartbreaking finale of Encounter. Most, if not all, can recall that tvN gave viewers a tear-jerking ending after Soo Hyun decided to let go of Ji Hyeok.

Though it was very clear that the character of Song Hye Kyo loves Park Bo Gum's Ji Hyeok, she did what she thought was the right thing to do at the time. Luckily, Cha Soo Hyun realized that she wants to be Kim Ji Hyeok, which later led to their reconciliation.

Generally, the finale episode of the original installment gave the viewers a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Should Encounter Season 2 come into fruition, it would be pleasing to see Cha Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Hyeok freely loving each other after they got back together again.

Will Encounter Season 2 Push Through Without Song Hye Kyo And Park Bo Gum?

Since the characters of Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum already got their happy ending, there is a possibility that Encounter Season 2 would center on their lives being a married couple or starting their own family. If not, perhaps the yet-to-be-confirmed second installment will offer a new story with brand-new cast members.

Of course, that would only happen if tvN decided to pursue Encounter Season 2 in the future. As of this writing, it remains to be seen if having a sequel is still possible. So, all these speculations should be taken with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.

An official said that the production presentation for Now, We're Breaking Up will be pre-recorded to make sure that all cast members are included. It added that having harmony between the actors involved in the show is important as the K-drama is a sentimental melodrama in nature.

"Since this drama is a sentimental melodrama genre, we decided that it is more important to show the relationship and the harmony between the lead actors. Therefore, we decided that we will be pre-recording rather than doing the production presentation without Jang Ki Yong."

The Now, We're Breaking Up production presentation is set to happen on August 23. Personalities expected to grace the said event include Song Hye Kyo, Yoo NamWoo, Kim Hoo Heon, Jang Ki Yong, Park Hyo Joo, Choi He Seo and director Lee Gil Bok among others.
