Rain and Kim Bum are set to return to the small screens through the upcoming K-drama series called Ghost Doctor. Recently, tvN confirmed the official release date of the imminent new South Korean drama series.

tvN revealed that Ghost Doctor will be released in the first half of 2022. While the network has not announced a specific date as of yet, avid followers of Rain, Kim Bum and Apink member Na Eun have something to look forward to next year.

As of this writing, tvN has only named three confirmed casts for the forthcoming Ghost Doctor drama series. Rain, who is making his comeback to television after two years, is set to portray the role of Cha Young Min.
Rain was last seen in the 2019 K-drama series called Welcome 2 Life. He became a household name when he starred in the popular 2004 South Korean television series called Full House, alongside Song Hye Kyo.

The South Korean singer-actor was also one of the lead stars in Come Back Mister (2016), Diamond Lover (2015), My Lovely Girl (2014), A Love To Kill (2005) and The Fugitive: Plan B (2010). It remains to be seen if Rain will be someone to love or hate in Ghost Doctors and that is something fans should watch out for.
Besides Rain, Kim Bum will also appear on Ghost Doctors. The 32-year-old South Korean star is best known for his television roles as F4 member So Yi Jung in the 2009 K-drama series Boys Over Flowers, Lee Rang in the 2020 show Tale of the Nine Tailed, CEO Lee Gook Soon in the 2016 series Mrs. Cop 2, guardian angel Lee Gook Soo in the 2016 television show Padam Padam and Han Joo Wi in the 2021 series titled Law School.
Kim Bum will portray the role of Go Seung Tak in Ghost Doctor while Apink member Son Na Eun will play Oh Soo Jung. Unfortunately, there are still limited details about Kim Bum and Son Na Eun's characters. However, their addition will totally give more flavor to the forthcoming K-drama series.

As for its storyline, reports have it that Ghost Doctor will center on a genius, but arrogant and selfish doctor named Cha Young Min (Rain), who got involved in an unexpected case.
The unusual case he handled will transfer his spirit to another doctor's body. Interestingly, the two medical practitioners are complete opposites with very dissimilar abilities and personalities.
