Full House is, undeniably, one of the most successful K-dramas of all time. Aside from the fact it starred two of the brightest stars in South Korea --- Song Hye Kyo and Rain, the plot of the popular television series caught the interest of many, which prompted numerous fans to ask KBS2 for Full House Season 2.
So, should fans expect Full House Season 2? Will Song Hye Kyo and Rain still star the yet-to-be-confirmed second installment? Keep on reading to know more.
Will Song Hye Kyo And Rain Return For Full House Season 2?
To cut the chase, KBS2 has not confirmed Full House Season 2 as of this writing. So, it is very unsafe to say that Song Hye Kyo and Rain are getting reunited to reprise their roles as Han Ji Eun and Lee Young Jae in the successful K-drama series, which was released in 2004.
Though its home network has not ordered Full House Season 2 yet, it does not necessarily mean that Full House Season 2 would no longer be happening. As a matter of fact, several reports suggested that there is a lot to explore in the yet-to-be-confirmed second installment.
In 2007, there were reports saying that Full House Season 2 was already in the works. K-Popped claimed, at the time, that writer Jo Jong Hwa spent one whole year writing the storyline of the alleged second season.
The entertainment news outlet even suggested that Song Hye Kyo and Rain would have had shot some scenes outside South Korea. K-Popped, however, suggested that it is impossible for Song Hye Kyo and Rain's characters to end up together because they are extremely awkward around each other, adding that they do not make such a good onscreen couple since their body language is "a dead giveaway."
Drama Beans, on the other hand, reported Song Hye Kyo and Rain would not have a reunion in Full House Season 2 since the producers are only interested to cast one of them. The entertainment news website said that it might be a hassle for the two lead stars to revisit their roles as Han Ji Eun and Lee Young Jae, especially with their hectic schedules and advanced age.
From a fan's perspective, it would be nice to see the characters of Song Hye Kyo and Rain enjoying their relationship in Full House Season 2. Others even want to see the two tying the knot and building their own family.
Again, it is important to note that KBS2 has not released any official statement that confirms Full House Season 2. So, devoted followers of Song Hye Kyo and Rain should take these speculations and theories with a huge grain of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
