This arc is a favorite of many fans given how action-packed it is. As for if it will be covered in the anime, the answer lies in the first season’s episode count.
How Many Episodes Will Solo Leveling Season 1 Have?
Crunchyroll and A-1 Pictures announced the Solo Leveling anime back in July 2022. The early announcement was no surprise given how popular the manhwa is.
Finally, the anime aired in January 2024, though its initial broadcast won’t be long.
That’s because Solo Leveling season 1 is currently listed with only 12 episodes. This means the anime will end its initial run in just three weeks.
Of course, that doesn’t mean the anime will only cover a small part of the original manhwa’s story. After all, given the show’s popularity, it’s likely going to be renewed for a new season.
For now, it’s unclear if it will get another 12-episode season, or if it will be announced that there will be a part 2 of season 1 with another 12 episodes.

Given the current pace of the anime, Solo Leveling will not cover the Jeju Island arc in its first season.
If season 1 gets part 2, the Jeju Island arc may be covered, but fans think that won’t be ideal. That’s because fitting in everything until that arc in 24 episodes will likely result in rushed pacing.
While the first season already moves at a pretty fast pace, fitting in that action-packed arc will be too much, as sacrifices will need to be made to other arcs.
Because of this, it may be more likely that the Jeju Island arc will be the opener of a potential season 2, or maybe even a movie.

Solo Leveling Fans Are Hoping to See a Jeju Island Arc Movie
With big shonen titles like Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen getting movies, it won’t be a surprise to see Solo Leveling get the anime film treatment for the Jeju Island arc.
As that arc has tons of action that will work on the big screen, many fans on Reddit have shared their hopes for a film adaptation.
The only problem with this is that there may not be enough story material following that arc to warrant a longer season 2.
Thus, fans also hope that the manhwa's final arcs will get extended, especially given that many consider the anime’s last arcs too fast.
