It has been three years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the U.K. after stepping down as senior royals and choosing to have private lives in the U.S. However, there are still questions if the Sussexes will ever return to the U.K.

In a series of interviews to promote his memoir, Spare, Prince Harry revealed it might be impossible for them to be working senior royals again and make a comeback in the U.K. Why is that so?

Sussexes, Not Returning to the Royal Fold

The Duke of Sussex seems to believe he has no way out of the royal family, but he thinks it will be impossible for him and his wife to return to his home country to work as senior royals again.

In a Good Morning America interview via The Guardian, the 38-year-old said it would be impossible for them to return to the royal fold.

"Even if there is an agreement, or an arrangement between me and my family, there is that third party that is going to do everything they can to make sure that isn't possible," he told host Michael Strahan, seemingly referring to the British media and royal press offices. "Not stopping us going back, but making it unsurvivable."

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Urged to Return to the U.K.

Though Prince Harry seemed to have already decided not to return to the U.K., royal commentator Kinsey Schofield urged them to move back permanently.

The To Di For Daily podcast host argued that most Americans had already grown tired of the royal couple after the release of the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan and Spare.

"I am going to tell you something … in the States, the conversation is Harry and Meghan need to apologize, and they need to move back to the U.K.," she told G.B. News. "That is what we are saying here in America, that they need to move back to the U.K. I know that is the last thing Brits want."

Schofield continued that the Americans had now realized that the only interesting thing about them was their connection to the royal family and not them per se.

"They are not interesting people, they're not exciting people," she continued. "They don't provide anything, and I think that what we liked about them was their relation to the British royal family, so I think that they've got to be closer to the British royal family."
