One of Tanjiro’s missions is to turn back his sister, Nezuko, into a human again. For those who have not watched or read Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Nezuko was turned into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji, the demon king.
After Tanjiro found this out, he was determined to do whatever it takes to turn her back to a human. He had an encounter with Giyu Tomioka, one of the Demon Slayer Pillars, and Tanjiro begged the swordsman to spare the life of his sister as he believes that she can be human again. At first, Giyu wanted to kill Nezuko but after he noticed that Nezuko, despite being a demon, still protected her brother, Giyu had hopes that she was different from the other demons.
The question now is, will Tanjiro’s mission succeed?
Will Nezuko Be Cured and Turned Back to Human?
The answer is YES! Nezuko will turn back to human thanks to Tamayo’s medicine. Tamayo is a demon who devoted her life to researching demons and demon transformations. After she met Nezuko and Tanjiro, she promised the siblings that she will find a cure as long as Tanjiro provides her the blood of the 12 strongest demons under Muzan.
Throughout the series, it was shown that every time Tanjiro defeats one of the 12 Kizuki, he will give Tamayo the blood sample. On Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Chapter 196, Tamayo gave Nezuko the medicine, and she became human again. This could mean that there is still hope for all demons.
About Nezuko
Nezuko is Tanjiro’s little sister. She was kind, caring, and a responsible sister to her siblings. After she became a demon, Sakonji Urokodaki made her see her family every time she sees humans. This made Nezuko vow to protect all humans instead of eating them. She also has strong willpower to protect her brother and his Demon Slayer friends.
Her abilities as a demon are enhanced strength, size manipulation, power restoration, immense regeneration, pyrokinesis, and demon transformation. The most intriguing ability that she has is sunlight resistance which other demons cannot do.
