Will Marvel Reboot Daredevil and Other Netflix Characters For Disney Streaming Service?

Those subscribed to Netflix are still pretty upset over the fact that they canceled Daredevil, which helped kickstart this whole Marvel-Netflix craze a few years ago. Not helping is the fact that Netflix also canceled Luke Cage and Iron Fist earlier this year, despite the two having stellar second seasons. With many thinking that Jessica Jones and The Punisher are going to have the same fate, fans are hoping that all of these shows are going to the Disney+ streaming service.

Unfortunately, if this critic is right, it looks like that we won't be getting these shows on the platform. In fact, if these characters ever return, they might get rebooted since the executives who handle Marvel films reportedly don't like how the people handle things for Marvel TV shows.

Alan Sepinwall stated that if the new Disney service wanted to have a Luke Cage or Iron Fist show, it would have been ordered already. If we are going to see these characters return, they might be recast, similar to how Tom Holland replaced Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man after the Amazing Spider-Man series failed to capture audiences in its web of mediocrity.

Honestly, that would be weird since these shows have made vague reference to the greater MCU already. Daredevil season 1 briefly mentioned Thor and Iron Man, while Jessica Jones referenced the events that happened in The Avengers. Maybe a "soft" reboot with the same cast would be better but only the executives in Disney know the answer.

Jessica Jones season 3 and The Punisher season 2 come out next year, possibly for their final installments. Daredevil, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage can still be streamed on Netflix.
