As of writing, no new cast members have been announced for One Piece Live Action Season 2. This means that Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis is not yet confirmed to appear in the live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus.

The rumors about Jamie Lee Curtis appearing in the live-action film began after she revealed that she was a big One Piece fan.

She even shared her favorite character in the series, the blue-nosed reindeer doctor, Tony Tony Chopper, much to everyone’s surprise.

When asked about her dream role in One Piece, the actress initially showed her interest in the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates, none other than Nico Robin.

But given her age, the actress would rather take on the role of the witch doctor from Drum Island, Dr. Kureha, also known as Doctorine, as requested by her beloved daughter, Ruby Guest.

If Jamie Lee Curtis is cast in One Piece Live-Action Season 2, she will most likely take on the role of Dr. Kureha, Chopper’s caretaker and mentor.

She is perfect for the role, not only because she resembles the character, but also because her acting chops are fitting for Dr. Kureha’s attitude, behavior, and personal style.

We are seeing Jamie Lee Curtis in Dr. Kureha so much that we can’t help but wish that she would land the role.

After all, Eiichiro Oda’s casting decisions are really impressive, given how spot-on all the main cast were in the first season of the One Piece live-action.

Dr. Kureha is the witch doctor who lives in Wapol’s palace on Drum Island. She is also a close friend of the late quack doctor Hiriluk, who took in a very vulnerable and injured Tony Tony Chopper in One Piece.

After Blackbeard attacked Drum Island, Wapol, along with all the doctors on the island, moved out and became a pirate crew. This allowed Dr. Kureha to live in his palace, and she became the only doctor on Drum Island.

She also became Tony Tony Chopper’s guardian and mentor after Hiriluk asked her to take care of the blue-nosed reindeer.

She didn’t want to take Chopper in at first, but eventually, she treated him as her own son. She even taught Chopper everything she knew about medicine.

Dr. Kureha also treated Nami’s illness, in addition to the injured Luffy and Sanji, who climbed up a snowy mountain just to reach her place.

She is a very strict doctor, and her methods are unorthodox compared to those of those of traditional doctors in the series.
