One Piece Live-Action Confirms Season 2!

Yes, One Piece Live-Action Season 2 is now confirmed, following the special video announcement posted by the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the show.

In a recent interview with Variety, Marty Adelstein of Tomorrow Studios, who is also producing the One Piece live-action series, also confirmed that the script for Season 2 is ready.

This latest development gives us hope that the release date of One Piece Live-Action Season 2 will come as soon as possible, following its impressive performance on Netflix.

The good thing is that the One Piece live-action is still taking the world by storm, as it dominates in over 80 countries and garnered over 18 million views during its premiere week.

Meanwhile, it is difficult to determine what counts as a hit or flop on Netflix.

The streaming giant heavily guards its viewership, but from time to time, Netflix reveals a show’s initial number of views, just like what happened with Stranger Things, Squid Game, and many more Netflix original shows.

So far, the interest in the One Piece live-action is immense, as Eiichiro Oda’s magnum opus is beloved by millions of anime and non-anime fans around the world.

Understandably, the manga series has been running since 1997, and there’s no stopping its success; thus, it will not come as a surprise if the live-action will easily garner a lot of views that may contribute to its renewal.

The hype around the One Piece live-action is also off the charts because Eiichiro Oda himself worked closely with the production, staff, and crew of the TV series.

Likewise, the cast and producers also made a promise that they would create a true One Piece story that would satisfy the fans!

At this point, the One Piece live-action is in better standing than its predecessors like Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Death Note 2017, and many more.

Some even said that the One Piece live-action adaptation broke the curse of bad live-action anime adaptations.

True enough, the One Piece live-action series got more than 18 million views during its premiere week!

One Piece Live-Action Season 2 Release Date Predictions

As stated above, the script for One Piece Live-Action Season 2 is ready, and Marty Adelstein of Tomorrow Studios believes that new episodes could arrive in 12–18 months if production continues after the SAG-AFTRA strike against the AMPTP gets resolved.

If this happens, we expect One Piece Live-Action Season 2 to have a release date window between mid or late 2025!

Given the massive production of the One Piece live-action, it looks like one year will not be enough to make a second season.

After all, the live-action was seven years in the making! Perhaps we will give it a year or two before we see them again.

As always, take these predictions with a grain of salt. We will update this section once the release date for One Piece Live-Action Season 2 has been confirmed.

One Piece Live-Action Season 2 will cover the Loguetown Arc, as confirmed by Marine Officer Smoker's debut in the post-credit scene of the first season.

The second season will also cover the Arabasta Saga, hopefully in its entirety, even though it's a particularly long story arc.

This means that Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates will head over to the Grand Line after they visit Loguetown, where they will be welcomed by the giant whale, Laboon, and its caretaker, Crocus.

Afterward, Luffy and his crew will set sail for Whisky Peak, where the criminal organization called Baroque Works will finally enter the picture.

Luffy will meet Nefertari Vivi, the princess of Arabasta and daughter of King Cobra, who will temporarily join the Straw Hats in their adventure.

They will also set sail for Little Garden, where they will encounter two warrior giants from Elbaf named Brogy and Dorry.

Luffy and the others will have to deal with some members of Baroque Works, and a fight will ensue.

Moving forward, the Straw Hats will head over to Drum Island in search of a doctor who will be able to treat Nami’s sickness.

This is where Tony Tony Chopper will be introduced in the story, along with Wapol, the self-proclaimed King of Drum Island. The two doctors, Kureha and Hiriluk, will also be introduced.

Lastly, the Straw Hats will dock their ship in Arabasta to save Vivi’s declining country from civil war brought upon by Sir Crocodile, one of the seven warlords of the sea.

A fight will happen involving the Straw Hats, Baroque Works, the rebels, the marine forces, and the royal guards which will determine the fate of Arabasta.

Before the release date of One Piece Live-Action Season 2 has been announced, you have the opportunity to revisit Luffy's journey, both in the anime and the manga.
